Instructions & Rules
There will be two different brackets for this race (group & individual). You may run this race as an individual or in group but you may not run in both brackets. Registration is $5 per person regardless if you are running as an individual or in a group. This fee will pay for your glow in the dark Trailblazer 5K shirt. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each bracket. Each person will also receive a raffle ticket with the chance to win prizes in the raffle after the race! Please note that if you are a University athlete you and your possible team will be ineligible to receive a place or a prize of any kind except in the raffle.
Group Bracket: Each group must have at least 3 people but may have as many people as you wish. Each group must also have at least one male and one female. Only the first three people in your group to cross the finish line will have their time taken. Those three times will be added together and the three teams with the lowest team-time will be placed according to lowest time as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in this bracket (golf score). It is important to know that you CANNOT run on a team if you are already running the race as an individual.
Individual Bracket: Those who choose to run in the individual bracket will only be competing with others in the individual bracket. The first three “individuals” to cross the finish line will be placed according to lowest time as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in this bracket. It is important to know that you CANNOT run as an individual if you are already on a team.
